The Research

The aim of analytical chemistry is to develop new concepts and methods for identifying, characterizing and quantifying substances. This science depends on the society’s demands and has always been strongly involved in societal developments. The asks are coming from almost all the various economical and scientific fields such as health, food safety, environment, fraud, doping, spatial conquests, archaeology… in addition to various industries from pharmaceutical to petroleum products.
To answer these demands, the aim of this group is to develop :

  • Fast and low cost analysis that can be directly applied on the field
  • Method adapted to reduced sample volumes
  • Method for trace and ultra-trace analysis in complex samples
  • High resolution methods for untargeted analysis
