Fast Supercritical Fluid Chromatography

Compared to HPLC or UHPLC Supercritical Fluid Chromatography is 3 to 5 times faster:

  • The separation of n-paraffins having a carbon number between 20 and 60 can be achieved in less than 2 minutes using neat CO2 with Flame Ionisation Detection
  • The separation duration is in the same order of magnitude as a second dimension separation in GCxGC ; despite the experimental difficulties, the same level of resolution can be obtained in SFCxSFC
